JUNIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER (Tubes)

Reporting to:
Engineering Manager

Scope:

To be trained in all aspects of Mechanical Design within the Tube Division. Learning the use of UGS Ideas and CAD system, SWAN and other bespoke TMD systems, enabling design and change process to be completed, from conceptual 3D Modelling to production of manufacturing data packs.

Main Duties:

• To learn the systems and software utilised within TMD necessary to provide the required documentation by the Tubes Division.
• To work with other engineers and achieve satisfactory designs using software design tools available.
• To produce 3D models and drawings as required. Support other engineers in creating drawings from conceptual models.
• To create SWAN parts and Bills of Materials.
• To action change notes as per instructions
• To gain awareness of relevant methodologies, technologies, processes and quality techniques within the Tubes Division.
• Attend programme and design review meetings as required.
• To support the Equipment division when required.
• To undertake any other task, which may reasonably be requested.
• To comply with the Company Policy on Health and safety.

Qualifications & Experience:
HNC/HND/Degree Mechanical Engineering
Prior use of a CAD package, during College/University course (Desirable)
